St. Mary’s church has been a beautiful sacred place for prayer and peace for all people of Harrow for nearly a thousand years. The church has many visitors throughout the week.
However, the church takes a lot of time, energy and money to maintain, £331 per day. The energy bills alone are set to increase from the £855 paid in March 2023 to £2200 on the new tariff.
In addition, the spire on the church needs major restoration to replace the lead tiles and some structural repairs. These works are costing approximately £660,000 and it is down to the church alone to find the necessary funds.
