Handbell ringers performing at our carol service

Music at St. Mary's

"Come before his presence with singing," Psalm 100 commands us, and so we do! Here at St Mary's, there is music all around, thanks to the many dedicated singers and musicians who play at our services and other occasions.

We are fortunate at St Mary's to have Tim Smith as our Director of Music who leads our choir, as well as our music group- an instrumental ensemble comprising amateur and professional musicians as well as several talented young players. Their main role is to play at the monthly Family Eucharist service. Tim not only leads the group and plays the piano; he also arranges all the music - for instruments as diverse as flute, French horn and cello!

Follow the links below to learn about the many musical groups and ensembles which perform and practice at St. Mary's!

We have a strong choir with members of all ages. Our choir leads our worship every week with their beautiful singing.

Bellringing

The bells of St Mary's have sounded over Harrow for centuries and are still rung every week by our team of  bellringers.

In addition to our tower bellringers, St Mary's also has its own team of handbell ringers, who contribute to many  events.
