About the event
2 pm: "War Stories" walk/talk
Join our local history expert, Judith Shepherd, for a fascinating "walking talk", tracing the lives of men who sacrificed everything as war swept the world. Judith is lining up her favourite stories of Harrow’s War heroes in WW1 and WW2. Please do come along—there are some fascinating stories to tell!
2 - 5 pm: special opening of "Cecil Beaton: 20th-Century Icons" Old Speech Room Gallery
Not to be missed - this photographic exhibition has been the talk of the town since it opened! From his first family snapshots to defining images of icons such as Edith Sitwell, Audrey Hepburn and Winston Churchill, this show spans nearly 60 years of Beaton's career.
